Classes for the 2012 Atlanta Ballet Centre Summer Intensives may include:

Some classes may vary by site, but the daily structure and basic curriculum of all Summer Intensive programs is identical. Students take four classes a day; generally three dance classes and either pas de deux, pilates, or lectures. In addition, dancers have rehearsals on most days. Dancers in each Summer Intensive have the opportunity to perform in a final studio performance showcasing what they have learned during the program.

Faculty

Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education's team of professional instructors nourishes each student's complete development: Principal faculty Rosemary Miles and Armando Luna, Ballet Mistress Dale Shields, Centre for Dance Education faculty, and members of Atlanta Ballet. We are also proud to work with such guest faculty as Robert Barnett, Director Emeritus, Atlanta Ballet; Li Cheng, guest artist, Texas Christian University; Stephen Pier, guest faculty, Hart College; Clara Cravey & Michele Gifford, master teachers; Miki Orihara, principal, Martha Graham Company; Sharon Wong, Alvin Ailey School; John Welker & Christine Winkler, Atlanta Ballet Company members and Pro Camp mentors; and others to be announced.

Please note: Each student will not have classes with every faculty member listed. Due to scheduling constraints, visiting faculty are usually not available for the entire program and are subject to change.

General Audition Information

Audition Tour Schedule and Locations

Students attending a scheduled audition in person are not required to bring supporting materials such as photos, resumes, or letters of recommendation.

Registration

Registration is one half hour prior to all audition times. No pre-registration required.

Audition fee

Audition fee is $30.00
